Demo vs Full Game: Players and Planned Features
Compare the current six-player Worst Class Ever Demo with the announced eight-player full release, new classrooms, room settings and language support.
What changes between the demo and full game?
The demo is a free, currently available Steam app with the six-player teacher-versus-students format. The October 27 official announcement describes the full-release plan, including a higher eight-player limit. The store’s older six-player description has not yet been fully aligned with that announcement, so the two versions need explicit labels.
| Topic | Current demo evidence | Announced full-release plan |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Free Steam demo | Upcoming paid-game listing; price unconfirmed |
| Player limit | Up to six | Up to eight |
| Teachers | Existing demo roles | New female homeroom teacher |
| Classrooms | Computer Lab added October 23 | Up to ten classroom themes |
| Room rules | Do not assume the launch settings are present | Up to twenty adjustable settings |
| Languages | English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese | Seven languages listed on Steam |

What do the new room settings actually promise?
The announcement says the full game will offer customizable rooms with up to twenty settings, and names player count, number of teachers and item spawn rates as examples. It does not supply a complete settings table. We therefore do not invent exact slider limits, preset rules or a fixed teacher-to-student split for eight players.
The same announcement promises more prank items, smoother server performance and LAN-mode support. The demo already carries LAN-related Steam categories, so LAN should not be described as categorically absent from it. A storefront tag also does not document the steps required to create a LAN session. This comparison separates explicit promises from features whose exact implementation still needs checking.
Should you download now or wait for launch?
Download the demo if you want to try the current classroom game and your group fits its six-player limit. Wait for the released full build if your decision depends on the promised eight-player mode, expanded classroom selection or additional localizations. A wishlist or announcement does not grant access to those planned additions today.
Start with the demo download instructions and compare your PC with the requirements. Check the language table if a particular localization matters. The release-date guide documents the November 9 store entry and November 10 announcement without assuming an explanation for the discrepancy.
We have not established a demo-to-full save transfer, reward carryover, purchase discount or permanently free full release from the checked sources. Those points should remain open questions until the developer publishes a specific policy.
