Prank Items and Gadgets

A source-checked Worst Class Ever item reference covering confirmed interactions, named gadgets, player-count spawning and statistics still awaiting verification.

Read item names and item rules differently

An official description can establish that a gadget exists without establishing its entire behavior. The Steam text names smoke bombs, a gun-like disabling gadget and drones. English wording differs between official descriptions, including “stun guns” and “tranquilizer guns.” This guide does not turn that wording difference into two confirmed weapons.

The table below separates concrete patch-note interactions from broader promotional descriptions. It is a reference to help you recognize what to check in the game, not a tier list based on invented damage, range or cooldown values.

Items with specific published interactions

Item or interaction What official material establishes What it does not establish
Balloon Demo 0.1.7 made hitting the teacher add mischief value. Points per hit, drop rate or maximum carrying amount.
Chalk The teacher uses it against students; Demo 0.1.6 fixed failed-hit behavior. Exact range, speed, recovery time or a guaranteed hit method.
Banana The October 21 update added slipping and stepping sound effects. Slip duration, full trap rules or spawn locations.
Captive-student rescue Rescue time increases with more students under the October 16 change. A universal duration or the binding used to rescue.

A sound-effect change confirms that the action was addressed by that patch. It does not provide a complete mechanical specification.

Gadgets described by the publisher

Publisher material describes smoke screens and ink as ways for students to disrupt the teacher or help others escape. It also names cameras and radar for the teacher. The Steam description adds drones and disabling weapons to the gadget selection.

These descriptions explain the general contest: students interfere with detection, while the teacher uses tools to locate troublemakers. They do not identify a fixed starting loadout or prove every advertised gadget is available in every demo room. Check the item actually offered by your build before planning a match around it.

Why item availability changes

Two October updates matter when comparing inventories. Demo 0.1.6 reduced the frequency of special items. Demo 0.1.9 then introduced student-count-dependent spawn probabilities. A full group and a small group should therefore not automatically expect the same item supply.

When discussing whether an item is rare or strong, keep the patch and group size attached to the observation. A video with several gadgets on screen is evidence about that session; it is not a published spawn table. There is also no verified basis here for a price list, upgrade tree or item unlock order.

Choosing a useful item test

If you want to understand a gadget with friends, change one condition at a time. First establish what the on-screen description says. Then check its basic interaction in the current room and note which role used it. Only after that should you compare different distances or situations.

Record the version, classroom, number of students and outcome. Keep a failed attempt as well as a successful one; it may reveal a condition you missed. This is a suggested testing method, not a claim that we ran those experiments.

The full-release announcement promises more prank items. Until that build can be checked, planned additions belong in a future-content note rather than the current demo’s confirmed equipment list.
