Crawling and Back Doors
Understand the crawling and openable back-door mechanics added to Worst Class Ever, plus the October changes to carrying items and classroom routes.
What changed in the demo?
The October 21 update introduced crawling between desks and chairs and made classroom back doors openable. On October 23, students also gained the ability to leave seats while holding items. These changes are important when an older guide seems to describe a more restrictive game.
Together, they expand the movement choices a student can consider. They do not establish a new victory condition, immunity during an animation or permission to pass through any piece of furniture. Use the actual interactable routes in your room.

How to think about crawling
Crawling gives students another way to move through classroom furniture. A useful first check is whether you can use it along the route you intend, and where that route leaves you when you stand or change direction.
Consider the whole route rather than only its entrance. A low passage that puts you directly in view afterward may not solve the problem you were trying to escape. Conversely, choosing a different path may help you stop repeating a conspicuous standing route. These are tactical questions to test, not verified outcomes of a hidden stealth modifier.
The patch announcement does not publish a crawl speed, detection reduction or a specific key. Read the binding in your installed build instead of assuming a common PC crouch key must apply.
Back doors are routes, not an automatic win
The developer explicitly says classroom back doors can be opened. That is stronger evidence than a promotional image showing a door, but it still does not say that every doorway ends a chase or removes you from the match.
Before relying on an exit, check where it leads and what remains visible from the teacher’s position. If you are learning with friends, practice the route before treating it as part of a rescue plan. The teacher must now consider additional access points too; opening a route does not guarantee the opposing player will ignore it.
Carrying an item while leaving a seat
The October 23 change removes an earlier restriction on leaving seats with an item in hand. It does not mean the item automatically conceals its carrier or can be used during every movement state.
Check the current on-screen prompts before combining an item with crawling, an interaction or a rescue. If a combination fails, avoid immediately labelling it a bug: the published change only establishes leaving the seat while carrying. It does not enumerate every possible action chain.
Controls and returning-player checks
Custom controls were among the issues addressed in the October 14 patch. For a returning player, a quick check of the current bindings is more reliable than muscle memory from an earlier installation or a creator’s customized controls.
Test movement in a low-pressure moment, check whether the furniture and doors match the guide you are using, and keep the patch date with any clip you save. This page does not claim firsthand route testing. Its purpose is to identify confirmed changes so you can stop following obsolete restrictions without replacing them with invented shortcuts.
